Friday was Rise -n- Shine at Becca's school. They have this little mini pep rally every Mon and Fri, to kick off and end the week. Becca was excited about this Friday, because they all got to sing the "Pinata" song. Addie and I enjoyed getting in on all the fun. They give awards and honor birthdays and have special talents, which I think really gives the kids confidence and brings them together as a school! It's great for the parents to feel connected, too. I snapped this picture of Becca and her teacher, Ms. Schrouf. She is a christian, single mother of one. Last week was parent teacher conferences. She said that Becca is a very tender hearted young lady. She loves to sit on her lap and play with her hair. Ms. Shrouf says the only way she can do that is to promise not to fall asleep!!!!! She reads close to a 3rd grade level and she's a little bit of a talker (we know who she get's that from ...ha). But she is an "A" student and Ms. Shrouf enjoys having her in her class. We are very proud of our Becca Boo!
